AI transformation - Wave of AI Value

AI essentials

To access the transformative power of AI, organizations must establish ‘Intelligence-as-a-Service.’ That includes scalable infrastructure, advanced language models, and software with built-in AI capabilities in combination with an organization’s raw data. These provide the foundation to build, operate, and scale AI with real, enterprise-specific impact.

Adapting AI to an organization’s context requires the right enablers and guardrails to secure, govern, customize, and operationalize AI. Success hinges on the ability to empower an organization to scale AI while ensuring secure, ethical, and aligned organizational AI capabilities.

Organizations adopt hybrid forms of collaboration by designing the clear roles and intuitive interactions that enable seamless collaboration between humans and AI. This mutual reliability and collaboration defines ‘human–AI chemistry’– the new alchemy of innovation and defining success factor in your AI journey.

With the technological, governance and collaborative foundations in place, AI value creation is poised for acceleration across an organization, ready to deliver the operational efficiency, personized experiences, business reinvention and next frontier innovation that enable an organization to transform today and build for tomorrow.

    Customer first

Unleashing the value of customer service

The transformative impact of Gen AI and agentic AI

The importance of customer service cannot be overstated. It is one of the most powerful capabilities available to organizations to help them drive purchases, encourage loyalty, and shape brand perception by connecting directly with customer sentiment. Its success is measured in part by how well it fulfills consumer expectations – and those expectations are changing. How can organizations better meet the needs of customers, while also empowering dissatisfied customer service agents, and delivering top- and bottom-line benefits?

Unleashing the value of customer service, a new report from the ѻý Research Institute, provides organizations with a road map toward revolutionizing customer service by embracing the powerful capabilities of generative and agentic AI. The report provides crucial insights on the current and future trends in customer service, based on findings from a global, cross-sector survey of around 9,500 consumers and 500 agents and supervisors, as well as 1,000 executives.

Download the report to learn about the key issues and opportunities that can drive transformation in customer service, including:

    • Elevating customer service from a support function to a strategic value driver: With 65% of executives saying their organizations face low operational efficiencies in the customer service function, and only 16% of surveyed agents reporting overall satisfaction with their roles, there is a clear need to transform the customer service function, and recognize its strategic role in driving brand perception, loyalty, retention – and revenue.
    • Gen AI and agentic AI are a game changer for transformation: 70% of customer service agents report a reduction in overall workload through using the technology, while 24% of organizations report reduced operating costs, and 31% report faster response times. These benefits are expected to grow as organizations recognize the burgeoning strategic importance of customer service, and the role that Gen AI and agentic AI can play in improving customer satisfaction, agent experience, and operational efficiency.

As Gen AI advances from copilots to reasoning AI agents, it unlocks unprecedented opportunities to elevate customer service, by autonomously handling routine tasks, and enabling human agents to transition from support roles to specialized positions focused on enhancing customer experiences. However, it is important to note that this is not merely a technological revolution; it is an organizational shift that demands a complete redesign of customer service from the ground up.

To learn more about the current and upcoming trends in customer service, including evolving customer expectations, and the role of AI in unlocking the commercial potential of customer services, download the Unleashing the value of customer service report today.

Why and how the telecom sector should accelerate its autonomous networks journeys /pt-en/insights/our-research-library/autonomous-networks/ Mon, 28 Jul 2025 13:13:14 +0000 /pt-en/?post_type=research-and-insight&p=531989
      Telco

      Autonomous networks

Report from the ѻý Research Institute

The telecom sector is embarking on a journey towards autonomous networks.

While most telcos (84%) currently reside at Level 1 or Level 2 autonomy for their overall networks, aspirations for higher levels of automation remain optimistic. Over 60% of operators aim to reach Level 3 autonomy or higher by 2028. However, the path to full autonomy is fraught with challenges, both technological and organizational.

In this ѻý Research Institute report, ranked No 3 by Source Global among 400+ reports in 2024, Networks with intelligence: Why and how the telecom sector should accelerate its autonomous networks journeys, we provide comprehensive insights into the importance of autonomous networks for telcos and how these autonomous networks are best implemented.

The report found that some of the biggest obstacles hindering progress toward autonomy are the mindset of employees, integration issues, and regulatory concerns around data sovereignty.

Despite these – and other – challenges, there is no denying that autonomous networks offer significant benefits to telcos. Over the past two years, operators have already realized a 20% improvement in operational efficiency and an 18% reduction in network operation expenditure (OpEx) through autonomous networks initiatives. Additionally, 71% of operators have reduced energy consumption during this period, while they expect to lower greenhouse gas emissions by 30% over the next five years.

Networks with intelligence: Why and how the telecom sector should accelerate its autonomous networks journeys also found that telcos anticipate investing an average of $87 million in autonomous networks over the next five years, with estimated OpEx savings of $150 million-$300 million per organization during this period. Furthermore, the return on investment (ROI) of autonomous networks initiatives ranges from 1.7x to 3.4x, with a payback period of between 2.9 to 1.5 years in conservative and optimistic scenarios, respectively.

To accelerate and sustain their autonomous networks journeys, telcos must also adopt a comprehensive autonomous network transformation strategy, complete with well-defined goals and target timelines. However, only 17% of telcos have done this so far. Over half (51%) of operators have a roadmap that covers only the next one to two years, leaving them with limited visibility into the future.

Telco must also formulate the right talent strategy to support the scale-up of network autonomy. This includes appointing a dedicated leader for autonomous networks. Only 15% of organizations have already made this appointment, while a further 31% are in the process of finding the right person. This delay could hinder progress, as having a dedicated leader can significantly accelerate the adoption of autonomous networks.

Successfully implementing an autonomous network involves investing in key technology and data/AI initiatives, setting the pace of the transformation in line with the networks’ maturity, and innovating continuously to stay at the forefront of autonomous networks development.

Download the report to learn more about how telco operators can unlock the full potential of autonomous networks and transform their networks for the better.

        Data and AI

        Data powered enterprises 2024

The most recent report from ѻý Research Institute’s data-powered enterprises series highlights the surge in organizations unlocking value from data for business and financial gains.

The report, Data-powered enterprises: The path to data mastery, is based on surveys of 500 data executives and 500 business executives. It found that two-thirds of executives say that their organization now leverages this data for new products or services.

The report also found that while some challenges identified in the 2020 edition of the research persist, they have diminished, and new priorities—such as generative AI—have emerged.

According to the report, 60 percent of organizations have implemented pilots or early proofs of concept (PoCs) for generative AI initiatives using their enterprise data. However, 75% of organizations say that large-scale deployment of generative AI PoCs is a significant challenge.

Data-powered enterprises The path to data mastery also examines organizational readiness to incorporate generative AI into their processes. Only 40% of data executives believe their organizations are mature enough on non-technical foundations (such as culture, ethical guardrails, governance mechanisms, legal and regulatory frameworks) to harness generative AI. In contrast, over half (56%) consider themselves mature on technical foundations (data, technology, infrastructure, and technical skills).

The path to becoming a data-powered enterprise has become more demanding as the range of data use cases continues to expand. To find out more, download the full report.

          Mistral AI

Redefining what’s possible with generative AI – securely, responsibly, and at scale

ѻý and Mistral AI are transforming the future of enterprise AI. Our strategic partnership aligns with Mistral AI’s breakthrough open-weight models – designed for transparency, performance, and adaptability. Together, we empower organizations in highly regulated industries to harness the full potential of generative AI with confidence, speed, and purpose.

A shared vision for scalable, responsible AI

We’re united by a common goal: to make generative AI accessible, adaptable, and sustainable. Mistral AI’s open-weight, high-performing models are engineered for enterprise-grade use, offering unmatched multilingual capabilities, customization potential, and flexible deployment options – including on-premise environments for clients with strict data sovereignty and compliance needs. ѻý brings deep industry expertise, transformation capabilities, and a global delivery footprint to help clients scale Gen AI responsibly.

The ѻý Research Institute spoke to Arthur Mensch, CEO, Mistral AI, and Aiman Ezzat, CEO, ѻý

How Mistral AI and ѻý can help you drive business value

          Open, transparent models

Mistral AI’s open-weight architecture gives enterprises full visibility into how models are built and how they behave. This transparency is critical for regulated industries where auditability, explainability, and control are essential. It also enables organizations to fine-tune models to their specific needs; whether that’s adapting to industry-specific language, integrating with proprietary data, or aligning with internal compliance frameworks.

“Open models also allow everyone to scrutinize the model for potential sources of bias.” Aiman Ezzat, CEO, ѻý – Conversations for Tomorrow 9, The CEO Corner with Arthur Mensch, CEO, Mistral AI

We deploy Mistral AI models within trusted cloud ecosystems such as SAP Business Technology Platform and Microsoft Azure AI Studio. These environments are designed to meet the highest standards of data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance. This ensures that sensitive data – especially in sectors like financial services, healthcare, and the public sector – remains protected while enabling powerful AI-driven transformation.

Mistral AI’s lightweight models are optimized for on-premise use, making them ideal for regulated industries where data privacy, sovereignty, and infrastructure control are essential. On-prem deployments offer low-latency performance, offline capabilities, and full control over customization, cost, and compliance.
ѻý’s SovBox solution exemplifies this approach: a certified, private infrastructure in France designed for ‘restricted distribution’ and ‘confidential Industry’ projects. SovBox integrates Mistral AI’s models, includingCodestral – to support secure, high-performance Gen AI across the software development lifecycle.

With over 50 pre-built use cases co-developed and validated with SAP, as a Mistral AI partner, we offer a fast track to value. These use cases span mission-critical functions such as customer service automation, predictive maintenance, fraud detection, and multilingual document summarization. Each is tailored to the operational realities and compliance requirements of specific industries, reducing the time and risk associated with AI adoption.

Mistral AI’s models are engineered for efficiency – delivering high performance with a smaller compute footprint. This aligns with our commitment to low-carbon digital transformation and helps clients meet their own sustainability goals. By reducing energy consumption and optimizing infrastructure usage, organizations can scale Gen AI responsibly without compromising on environmental impact.

          Our joint vision

We believe generative AI is transforming how organizations operate, innovate, and engage with their stakeholders. However, in industries governed by strict regulatory and data governance requirements, adoption must be both responsible and resilient. That’s why as a Mistral AI partner we are focusing on helping our clients not only navigate these complexities but also unlock the full potential of generative AI. Through our partnership, we deliver solutions that are not just transformative in impact, but also trustworthy by design.

“Together with Mistral AI, ѻý will help to spearhead the AI revolution, enabling organisations of all sizes to realise significant business value from this technology that is set to redefine the world we live in and accelerate the dual transition towards a digital and sustainable economy.”

          Generative AI : The next chapter of artificial intelligence /pt-en/insights/our-research-library/generative-ai-the-next-chapter-of-artificial-intelligence/ Mon, 28 Jul 2025 10:38:39 +0000 /pt-en/?post_type=research-and-insight&p=532509
          Data and AI

Generative AI : The next chapter of artificial intelligence

While we observe an unprecedented enthusiasm from business leaders around generative AI (gen AI), it is crucial to understand how it transforms the way organizations operate.

As gen AI continues to evolve and mature, we expect even more disruption in industries. To stay ahead of the curve and meet the ever-changing demands of their customers and markets, organizations need to select the relevant use-cases and adopt best practices while ensuring the ethical and responsible integration of this groundbreaking technology. In this report, co-built with Everest Group, we explore where the true value of gen AI lies, considering the potential pitfalls and sharing recommendations on key areas to prioritize.

Gen AI uncovers new frontiers in the digital space

Since its conceptualization, artificial intelligence has been a remarkable technology, revolutionizing industries and redefining human-machine interaction. One such remarkable breakthrough that has captured the imagination of researchers, innovators, businesses, and individuals alike is generative artificial intelligence.

This report starts by delving into the historical context of AI, tracing its origins and fascinating innovations, up until the emergence of gen AI. With this foundation in place, we explore the concept of this technology in length, uncovering its capabilities, the challenges it faces, and the transformative opportunities it presents.

While this technology holds great promise, it also possesses inherent risks such as rising concerns about data privacy, identity theft, and misinformation. Moreover, as AI-generated content becomes increasingly indistinguishable from human-generated content, the responsibility for its consequences becomes a pressing concern.

Gen AI is becoming a requisite for every organization

One thing that clearly stands out is that implementing gen AI is becoming less of a choice and more of a requisite for enterprises to remain relevant in today’s time.

The technology offers an opportunity to reimagine the way we work and unlock new levels of creativity and productivity. Hence, it is important for enterprises to explore its potential benefits and consider ways to integrate these systems into their workflows in a responsible and sustainable manner starting now.

Generative AI: Accelerating sustainability through responsible innovation

Generative AI has taken the world by storm, promising to transform industries.

Eighty percent of organizations have increased their investment in generative AI since 2023, while the remaining 20% have maintained their investment level, according to the 2nd edition of the Generative AI in organizations report. And generative AI has already begun delivering on its promise with respondents from said report seeing a 6.7% improvement in customer experience and a 5.8% increase in operational efficiency in areas where generative AI has been piloted or deployed. And these are only the first results.

However, this innovation comes at a price and it’s not just monetary. Organizations deploying generative AI often overlook its resource consumption resulting in a higher carbon footprint and the accelerated depletion of natural resources. And this cost remains hidden: today, only one-third of organizations are doing any monitoring of generative AI’s resource, carbon, and water costs. Additionally, organizations must also consider the social costs of generative AI such as the impact of bias.

So how can we balance the potential of generative AI while considering its cost to the planet at large?

          1. Minimize generative AI’s impact by consciously taking a sustainable by design mindset into how we engineer and architect solutions while establishing clear guardrails.
          2. Accelerate sustainability initiatives such as sustainable product design or Environment Society and Governance (ESG) disclosures by leveraging generative AI.
          3. Create tangible progress towards achieving UN Sustainable Development Goal commitments through innovation driven by generative AI.

As the leader of the eco-digital revolution, we at ѻý are committed to helping our clients harness the immense potential of generative AI while considering its cost to the planet and society. Over the next few months, we will explore these topics in depth. To learn more today:
